After the original “I Run” was pulled from streaming for using an AI vocal that impersonated Jorja Smith, its creators — British producers Harrison Walker and Jacob Donaghue — re-released the track in November 2025 with a real singer, TikTok vocalist Kaitlin Aragon, over the AI-generated production. The cleared version drew roughly 17.7 million Spotify streams, and by replacing a disputed AI voice with a consenting human performer it became a real-world model of the augment-not-replace principle these awards champion.
