NEON ONI began as an AI kawaii-metal project and, after its origins surfaced, recruited a real Japanese band to perform the AI-made catalogue live — debuting on stage in December 2025 and reaching a Wacken Metal Battle Japan qualifier. It is the definitive 2025 example of AI and live human performance meeting on stage.
